About
We grow vegetables mainly in the mountainous area of Sagamihara City, Kanagawa Prefecture (formerly Fujino Town) using pesticide-free, fertilizer-free, and no-till farming methods.
Nature Farm The Ban's Wish
To live is to take the life of a living being.
We should be grateful and in awe of the life we receive. We want all living creatures to live their lives freely and vividly.
With this in mind, we at Nature Farm the Bann are committed to "natural farming," a method that allows many living creatures to live naturally and let wild life shine.
We hope that the vegetables grown in harmony with many living creatures will energize the people who eat them with their wild power.
Field Characteristics
High ridges
In order to aerate the field and increase the number of microorganisms, high ridges are made.
Full of weeds
We do not cultivate weeds.
We increase the number of microorganisms that live in symbiosis with the weeds, or cut them and use them as grass mulch.
All we need is rain
We basically grow vegetables only with rainwater so that they can take root and absorb water in the soil on their own.
No Pesticides, No Fertilizers, No Tillage
Nature Farm's fields are basically pesticide-free, fertilizer-free, and no-tilled.
We aim to cultivate vegetables by maximizing the power of indigenous microorganisms. However, the condition of the soil varies from field to field. In some cases, nothing grows.
In such cases, we plow the soil or add organic matter from outside, and our methods are flexible and we do not adhere to any one farming method.
